How the Worst Moments in Our Lives make Us who We are

I watched this Ted Talk this weekend, and I would like to share the message.

In this talk, Solomon discusses this concept of forging meaning rather than finding meaning.

Andrew Solomon shares his personal experiences with bullying and traumas during his childhood and adolescence. He also shares stories of others whom have impacted him throughout his writing and research.

He urges us to forge meaning out of our adversities. He acknowledges doing so does not make wrongs right, but makes them precious. Adversities and our responses to them help make us who we are!

He challenges us to forge meaning – to change ourselves.

He challenges us to build identity – to change the world.
